酰胺又称酸酰胺,是具有官能团RnE(O)xNR′2(R和R′指H或有机基团)的化合物。最常见的是甲酰胺(有机酰胺)(n=1,E=C,x=1),但已知许多其他重要类型的酰胺,包括磷酰胺(n=2,E=P,x=1和许多相关公式)和磺酰胺(E=S,x=2)。酰胺这个术语既指化合物的种类,也指官能团(RNE(O)XNR’2)。酰胺也可以指氨的共轭碱(阴离子H2N)或有机胺(阴离子R2N)。
